Q. Can we pick up the play equipment?
A. Absolutely, we encourage you to pick up, as this keeps your hire costs to a minimum and all of our play equipment is reasonably light and easy to transport with a ute or trailer.
Q. Do you deliver?
A. Yes, we offer delivery through a third party. If you would like a quote on delivery, please contact us with your party address and preferred pick up/drop off dates and times.
Q. Can we be assured that your play equipment is safe and reliable to use?
A. Yes, our play equipment is thoroughly checked after each hire period.
Q. Is your play equipment clean?
A. Yes, all of our play equipment has been thoroughly cleaned between each hire period using an antibacterial, hospital grade wash, and we do ask that our play equipment is returned in the same condition as when hired. Please read our terms and conditions as fees may apply if the play equipment is returned in an unacceptable condition.
Q. Do you have insurance?
A. Yes, we are insured for $5,000,000.00 Public Liability.
Q. What if the play equipment breaks during my hire period?
A. Our play equipment is high quality and durable, so it would be very unusual for our play equipment to break. In the unlikely event that it does, please don’t try and fix the item, just keep the parts together and let us know. We will then assess the damage and its cause. Please read our terms and conditions of hire as you may be required to pay for repairs or replace the entire item if damaged parts cannot be replaced. Please DO NOT let children play with or near damaged equipment.
Q. Do we need to pay a bond for your hire items?
A. A $50.00 refundable bond is required for each hire period, this will be refunded to you once the items are returned to us in the same condition they were hired out (normal wear and tear acceptable) and in a satisfactory state of cleanliness. We require a few days to inspect all equipment.
Q. What payment methods do you accept?
A. Full payment is required at checkout.
Q. Do you have package deals?
A. Yes, we have put together a few discounted packages to suit particular age groups or themes. However, please contact us and we will gladly put a customised package together for you to suit your particular needs, theme and or budget.
Q. Is there a discount for long term hire?
A. Yes, please contact us to discuss your requirements.
Q. Is there a discount for large orders?
A. Yes, all packages over $200 carry a 10% discount. We offer you this discount on large orders or custom made packages. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.
Q. Is there a minimum order?
A. No, you can hire as much or as little as you want. However, there is a $150.00 minimum hire amount on bookings where our delivery service is required.
Q. What if you don’t have something we want?
A. We are a growing business and are constantly sourcing new equipment. Please let us know if there is something in particular you are looking for and time permitting we’ll do our best to get it for you. Any ideas or feedback you may have will be much appreciated.
Q. What is your cancellation policy?
A. We kindly request that any cancellations are made with more than 2 weeks notice (by 5pm Friday). In these circumstances your deposit (50% of total hire cost) will be happily refunded. Cancellations after this time up until Wednesday 12 noon (of the hire week) your deposit will be retained by Big Toys for Little People. Cancellations after this time full payment of the booking is retained by Big Toys for Little People.
Q. I’m tossing up between your play equipment and a jumping castle. Any advice?
A. Jumping castles are fantastic for older children. Our play equipment is tailored towards ages 0-6 years, and as such are age and developmentally appropriate to their abilities. Additionally our hire options are CONSIDERABLY CHEAPER and the hire period is for the WHOLE WEEKEND so all round better value for money. Having said that we do offer some smaller bouncy castles/inflatable options available for hire to suit the 0-6 age range.
Q. Is the play equipment suitable for corporate/community hire?
A. Our play equipment is suitable for all events! Corporate events, family fun days, conferences, Christmas parties, fetes/carnivals, childcare facilities, mothers groups, playgroups, RSL clubs, and shops. We offer the perfect solution to kids’ entertainment with a large range of play equipment to suit different tastes and needs. We are also fully insured.
